Business Development Manager Licensing (m/f/d)

In Mannheim we are looking for a Business Development Manager (m/f/d) to join our Licensing Sales team at earliest date possible.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Licensing sales of Novolen polypropylene technology to selected projects worldwide
  • Identification and development of new business opportunities
  • Support of development of global commercial and marketing strategies by providing market intelligence
  • Support of sales forecasting process
  • Development of sales strategy for individual proposals
  • Development and maintenance of client relationships
  • Coordination of proposal bid approval
  • Preparation of commercial offers and coordination of timely delivery of technical proposals
  • Review and approval of contract terms and conditions in coordination with management, legal and financial department
  • Negotiation of Engineering / License agreements

Requirements:

  • Suitable Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering
  • At least 10 years of experience in R&D, manufacturing, process design, technical support and/or technology licensing of polyolefins (preferable) or petrochemicals technologies
  • Previous experience in marketing/sales in an international environment, preferably in Technology sales
  • Capability of driving technology development based on market requirements and trends
  • Balance of strong technical and commercial capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capability of influencing others, Team player
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with clients at all levels in the organization, incl. Top-Management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong negotiating skills
  • High degree of self-motivation and engagement, strong self-management skills
  • Knowledge of many cultures, international style, willingness to travel worldwide
  • Long-term view, stamina and patience
