Sustainability Manager
Full-Time
Derby (hybrid 2/3 days onsite)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sustainability Manager to work within our team in Derby.
As a Sustainability Manager you will be Responsible for the development and delivery of RRSL's sustainability strategy and improvement programme, including coordination of a net zero, energy and waste reduction route map across RRSL’s operations, products and supply chain.

What you will be doing:

Accountable for leading, influencing and delivering the integrated sustainability strategy for RRSL.

Accountable for the creation and delivery of a fully integrated, costed and risk assessed plan for RRSL Sustainability.

Accountable for ensuring RRSL compliance with all statutory reporting obligations on all aspects of Sustainability.

Manage the Sustainability team and be the go-to person for sustainability.

Editing/Creation of the sustainability and ESG reports / ESG Disclosures
Position
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who is/has:
-
Experience as a sustainability value manager or experience in delivering similar responsibilities in a different role

Ability to engage with colleagues at various levels of seniority and understanding of sustainability as a subject matter area

Experienced in working within a complex, corporate environment

Consistently deliver performance targets and takes quick, corrective action when required to exceed expectations where possible

Previous evidence of creating sustainability reports, strategies and communication materials within a large client or organisational setting

Ability to think broadly, create a shared vision, and embrace change as an opportunity
For more than 60 years Rolls-Royce Submarines has designed, supplied and supported the nuclear propulsion plant, providing power for all UK Royal Navy nuclear submarines.
