         Title: Sr. Manager, Product Training

Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and coordinate North and South American technical training for C&I, Mining, Marine, Onsite Energy and Oil & Gas engines and systems
- Manage the training center business operation and drive efficiencies and maximize profits
- Manage training curriculum for mtu products in line with the global training strategy and the new learning management system including, but not limited to e-learning, videos and PowerPoint presentations. Ensure content and quality are in line with corporate guidelines.
- Oversee customer invoicing on a scheduled basis per Finance Department requirements
- Plan, develop, conduct and control training schedules and contents for distributors, and ensure needs are fulfilled
- Plan, develop, and control training on a periodic basis and negotiate class costs (flight, hotel, etc.) with customers, and vendors
- Ensure that the required training facility, tools, product, materials, etc. are in place on an on-going basis for scheduled training classes
- Publish training schedules on the Business Portal that are in line with global and local processes
- Oversee and audits external (primarily distributors / marine defense) training centers and trainers on a regularly scheduled basis
- Schedule Trainer Update Meetings for RRSA trainers on an annual basis
- Participate in Global Trainer Update Meetings with RRPS on an annual basis
- Participate in distributor meetings and any other RRPS internal meeting as required
- Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
- Confer with management personnel to establish quality control and production standards, develop budget and cost controls and prepare reports on progress and potential issues
- Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, preparing budgets, approving expenditures, enforcing rules and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services
- Review financial statements and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and improvement
- Implement good housekeeping practices
- Promote and support a safety culture.
- Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce code of Conduct
- Perform special projects as needed
Basic Requirements:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical engineering, or technology and 7 years of experience in technical service and/or customer support; or 11 years of experience in technical service and/or customer support
- Ability and willingness to travel - domestic and international, about 25% to 30% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven leadership and business management skills
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical or electrical engines and tools, including their designs, controls, uses, repair, and maintenance, including major engine overhaul and the tune-up of diesel engines and components
- Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills, when problems are very complex
- Excellent organizational, planning and follow up skills
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
- Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
- Strong self-starter with the strong ability to work extended periods without supervision
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of RRSA Policies, processes and procedures
- Foreign language skill - German
