What you will be doing:
Inspection Process Compliance
- Providing expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, procedures, regulatory/governmental regulations and agency guidelines to assure compliance.
- Ensure that all dimensional inspection activities within an area are carried out to process.
- Ensure compliance to processes by performing independent audits of inspection and build processes.
- Maintain inspection certification, and coordinate product audits.
- Monitor calibration compliance.
- Be responsible for the control of inspection stamps within the plant.
- Work with the Quality Manager to raise and escalate any issues relating to non-compliance of the inspection process.
- Be a ODA Unit team as a member and act as a delegated Customer Representative as required.
- Maintain Engineering change compliance records and systems.
Professional Development of Inspectors
- Provide leadership and support to quality engineers / coaches.
- Act as a lead coach and coordinator of inspection training for personnel within a defined area.
- Define the inspector accreditation (RR) standard required for a specific commodity.
- Support the development of the corporate training requirements for inspectors.
- Ensure that knowledge and understanding of inspection techniques is kept up to date, current and is shared across the business.
- Develop and organize training for inspection personnel.
- The Inspection Lead will apply the skills, knowledge behaviors and techniques as appropriate to the business to meet appropriate competency requirements.
Drive continuous improvement for inspection processes
- Engage the inspectors in kaizen continuous improvement processes to maximize effectiveness of resources.
- Run and promote inspection improvement projects.
- Provide guidance and support in terms of all inspection activities and the arbitration of inspection standards within a defined area.
- Be a role model within the area in terms of inspection standards.

Basic Requirements:
- Associates degree and 6+ years of experience, or
- Bachelors degree and 3+ years of experience, or
- 12+ years of experience in lieu of degree, or
- Military prior service in Aviation 4 years
- In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship
Preferred Requirements:
- Green Belt or Black Belt Certification a plus
- Previous experience managing quality systems and processes
- Previous experience creating and maintaining quality processes and procedures
- Previous experience working with Rolls-Royce
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 4+ year of Aerospace experience
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Tools
- Experience managing inspectors, and inspection processes
- Experience participating in problem solving investigations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read blueprints (Knowledge of GD&T preferred)
- Experience with inspection techniques
- Identify measurement and inspection training requirements
- Able to apply the company measurement standards, calibration procedures, measurement processes and best practice
